Russia’s Kasatkina has reached the final of the Adelaide tournament without a fight
Russian tennis player Daria Kasatkina will play in the second round of the tournament in Adelaide, Australia, the prize fund of which exceeds 780 thousand dollars.
In the semi-finals, the Russian player, seeded No. 5 at the tournament, was to face Spain’s Paula Badoza (9) but she failed to appear due to an injury of her right hip.
In the final, Kasatkina will face the winner of the match Belinda Bencic (Switzerland, 8) – Veronica Kudermetova (Russia, 6).
For Kasatkina, the final was her first since last August when she won the tournament in Granby, Canada.
